Seashell Wreath
When spending holiday at the beach, you cannot resist collecting a couple of seashells as souvenirs. Often more gets collected than you know what to do with. This is an easy and decorative way to display some of those excess shells. Add a couple of other self made embellishments if you like to your wreath to finish off the summer look.

For this project you will need:
- styrofoam wreath your choice of size - long piece of white netting material - rope - collected seashells - plaster of Paris castings with summer motifs - acrylic paint in tan and white - paint brushes - hot glue gun

Instructions:
1. Wrap the wreath with the netting until the entire wreath is covered. You may want to secure the beginning with a bit of glue if it does not want to hold. 2. With the last wrap around, let the netting come from the behind top and hang then in the front of the wreath a length of about 30 cm or 12 inches. Knot the end and cut the rest away. 3. Paint the plaster of Paris pieces a tan color and let them dry. 4. Drybrush white paint on the pieces to give them a weathered look. 5. Knot a longer piece of rope in several places to give it the look of a seaman’s rope. Secure one of the rope on the top backside of the wreath and bring it over the netting in the front. Wrap it once around the right side of the wreath and come out in the front again and let the other end hang. See picture. 6. Use the hot glue gun and glue the collected pieces and plaster of Paris pieces in a decorative way on your wreath and onto the rope. Be careful not to burn your self with the hot glue especially when gluing the pieces onto the netting.
