Fun foam is a fun material for children to work with. It cuts easily, almost like butter, and gives the crafts an added dimension and feeling. This cute little rat is happily eating away at her piece of cheese and would be glad for small hands to create her and give her a place in their homes.
If you do not have any fun foam, this project can be created just as easily with paper, too.
Instructions:
1. Print out and enlarge patterns as needed. 2. Using a pencil, trace the lines on a thin piece of paper. Turn the paper over and retrace the lines now onto the appropriate colored fun foam pieces. This will transfer the pencil markings on the foam. 3. Cut the shapes out and adhere them together using either the glue or double-sided adhesive. 4. Dot the eyes with white dimensional paint or a paint marker that shows up on dark colors. 5. Use the fine line marker and lightly draw the arms onto the body as seen in the picture. 6. If you like, punch a tiny hole in the top of the head and tie a string through to hang.
