Christmas Crafts for Kids - Craft Stick Reindeer
Ages 7 and older
This little guy is so quickly made and makes a fun Christmas craft project for school aged children. They can make him and use him as a Christmas tree decoration, a gift tag or as a plant poke. If they want to use him as a gift tag, all they would need to do extra is draw a little sign, write the name of the recipient on it and glue it to the front of the reindeer. Then cut a couple of round circles in a matching color for his hands and glue those to the front of the sign to look like he is holding it.

For this project you will need:
- Craft stick - brown paint - dark brown corrugated cardboard - craft glue - black dimensional paint - thin red ribbon - a jingle bell

Instructions:
1. Paint the craft stick brown and let it dry. This usually goes pretty quick. Paint the other side as well and the sides and also let it dry. 2. Print out the patterns to fit the craft stick and trace the designs onto the backside of the brown corrugated cardboard. Cut these out. 3. Glue the antlers and face onto the reindeer. For the face, glue the corrugated side to the body so that the smooth side is up. 4. Use the dimensional paint and dot 2 eyes on him and a large black nose. Let the paint dry. This usually takes a bit longer. 5. Once dry, tie a ribbon around his neck and attach a jingle bell to the ribbon. 6. Let a parent help to drill a small hole through the antlers and craft stick. 7. Curl a wire around a toothpick and insert one of the ends through the hole. Use the other end to hang up the reindeer.
