Christmas Crafts - Christmas Cards - ”Getting Ready for Winter”
Why buy expensive Christmas cards when you can create you own one of a kind cards that not only will be highly appreciated from the recipients of you card, but also shows that you took the time to personally give your gift of time. The fabric used for this particular card has so many cute snowmen motifs to choose from.
For this project you will need:
- bordeaux red blank card - fabric with country snowmen motifs (for example fabric “Dashing Through the Snow” by Teresa Kogut - cream colored textured paper - fusible web - white cardstock - paper punch with snowflake motif - 3-D foam pads - tacky glue - paper punch for tag or cut your own out - red metallic fringe cording - Fiskars 3-in-1 corner punch with snowflake motifs - strong double sided sticky tape
1. Follow the tutorial to prepare your snowman motif. Fuse the web to the backside of your motif, cut the motif roughly out and fuse onto the white cardstock and then cut it exactly out. Then it is ready to use. 2. Apply a couple of pieces of 3-D foam tape to the backside of the snowman motif and lay aside for the moment. 3. Punch out a tag and adhere the greetings to it. Insert the fringe through the top hole. 4. Cut a strip of textured cardstock and wrap a piece of red fringe around it longways and secure in the back. Use double sided tape to adhere the strip to the left side of the card. 5. Punch a snowflake out and attach it to the top right corner of your card. 6. Use the Fiskars 3-in-1 punch and punch a snowflake from the top and bottom right corners 7. Pull away the protective paper backing from the 3-D foam tape and adhere the snowmen motif to your card.
