These pomanders are not cured and will only hold for 1 or 2 weeks depending on the room temperature and humidity. Perfect if you just need a quick and easy scented decoration for your home and would like to give the kids a fun afternoon activity.
For this project you will need:
- an orange - clove pieces with large heads - permanent marker - embroidery or knitting needle for poking holes
Recommended for ages 7 and above
Instructions:
1. Use the permanent marker and draw your designs on the orange. Christmas shapes and celestrial shapes look great! 2. Use the needle and poke holes that a close to each other in your design. 3. Insert your cloves. If there are open spaces between the pieces, you can always poke more holes and fill them.
This project is great for children because there is no fuss of curing them or waiting for them to be available for use. When these start to lose their scent or nice appearance, the kids can create new ones if they would like.
