Needle Felted Mice

You can get amazing results when you needle felt onto styrofoam shapes. For this project, a styrofoam mouse became a soft and cute little critter that actually resembles a stuffed animal. Until you pick it up and feel how light it is, you cannot even tell the difference.

For one mouse you will need:

- styrofoam mouse (right)
- needle felting wool in your choice of color (here light brown was used for the brown mouse and off-white for the lighter colored
  mouse)
- needle felting needles
- needle felting wool in the color of pink for the ears
- 1 black 6mm wooden bead, cut in half (the eyes)
- a pink half bead fo rthe nose
- ribbons in the color of pink to decorate

The technique shows how to needle felt a styrofoam heart. For any figure, the instructions are the same, just with different colors and shapes.

Each mouse requires two colors. One for the body and then the ears.
