Terracotta Pot Tea Light Holder
A terracotta pot cut in half makes a perfect candle holder for tea lights. This one is first painted and then decopaged with a nautical themed paper napkin to give it the perfect look for the summer.

For this project you will need:
- terracotta put cut vertically in half (we found ours in a craft store but you can also cut your own. Instructions can be found here and here). - blue and white acrylic paint - crackle medium - paper napkin with maritime motif - paper napkin applique glue or decoupage glue - flat, soft paint brushes

Instructions:
1. First you will base coat the entire pot with blue acrylic paint and set it aside to dry before continuing. 2. Once your pot is dry, paint the inside area with a coat of cracking medium and let it dry overnight. 3. Now take your paint brush and dip it into the white paint. Stroke in one direction over the cracking medium. Immediately you will notice the paint starting to crack. Do not stroke the paint over the same place twice or the effect will be ruined. Continue until the entire area is covered. Put aside to dry. 4. Once the paint is dry, you can continue with the decoupage techinque. Remove all but the top layer of the tissue or napkin and follow the tutorial here to apply the napkin to the pot. Let the glue dry before using.
