Wreath Embellished With Magazine Paper Roses

Before throwing away used magazines, you can use the pages to die cut roses to embellish a wreath like the one below. This project is easy to do but it does take quite some time to create and glue the roses on to the wreath base. Once finished, you can use the wreath as a candle wreath, as seen in the images below.

For one wreath you will need:

- foam wreath, your choice of size
- magazines of your choice
- die cutting machine (Sizzix Big Shot, Cuttlebug, etc...)
- Marianne Design Creatables Die (LR0162), English Rose (a product of the Netherlands - you can see their selection of dies
  here: Marianne) or a similar product using another company... or just use decorative edged scissors
- quilling tool
- glue

Instructions:

1. If you have a die cutting machine and paper rose dies, then die cut out many roses and quill them into shape according to the company’s instructions. If the pages are thin enough, you can cut several layers (4 to 6) out simultaneously to save time.

2. Once you have created several roses, then start to glue them onto the wreath. It is best to work from the inside to the outside of the wreath, or vice versa and continue along.

3. Just keep filling the wreath until it is completely covered with roses. This will take quite a bit of time but the effort is worth it in the end.

Each wreath will look unique.
