Fall / Autumn Craft - Door Wreath Using Natural Leaves

When your yard is full of leaves then that is perfect because now you can start collecting some to make a wreath to decorate your front door in a natural way. This wreath is made using oak leaves, but maple leaves in bright reds look also very lovely for this project.

Fall Wreath with Real Leaves

For this project you will need:

- straw wreath in size of choice
- collected autumn leaves
- various ribbons for decorating
- cording for hanging
- wire

Instructions:

To make this wreath, read the following Wreath Tutorial for making a evergreen wreath. It is basicly the same procedure. Secure the wire to the wreath. Starting from the middle (inside) circle of the wreath, you add the first leaf and add then 3 or 4 more leaves in that row working your way towards the outside of the wreath. Make sure the wire is holding the leaves down tightly. After the row is finished, bring the wire under the wreath towards the middle and add then the next row of leaves. Make sure when adding each new row, that the new row of leaves cover the wire from the previous row.  Keep adding rows of leaves until you have completed the wreath.

Fall Wreath with Beech Leaves
This wreath looks gorgeous with beech leaves.
