Instructions for one heart:
1. First of all, print out the pattern to the size you want and choose which heart you wish to use. Trace the shape onto the fabric that has been doubled, with the wrong sides facing each other and also onto 1 piece of batting or fleece. Cut the fabric hearts out. Cut the fleece heart out slightly smaller than the fabric hearts. 2. Place the cut batting heart between the two outer hearts so that it is sandwiched between the two. At the same time, cut a piece of white ribbon and fold in half to a loop. Insert the loop between the heart layers. The ribbon loop should be outside, the ends of the ribbon sandwiched inside the layers. Pin in place to hold. Once you sew around the heart, this will also hold the loop permanently in place. Sew all layers together with a zig-zag stich around the outer edge of the heart. The edges look a little frayed which adds to the country look. 3. Hand stitch a button and a small square of scrap fabric onto the heart.
