For Valentine’s Day or even on your wedding anniversary, you can surprise your loved one with a gift presented in a home made Valentine heart gift box. This project is really simple to make and is the perfect packaging for small gifts such as silk scarves, small perfume bottles, jewelry, etc... You can increase or decrease the template size to meet your needs if necessary.

For this project you will need:
- Cardstock with printed roses or motif of
your choice
- paper puncher with slit holes
- scissors
- pencil
- bordeaux red satin ribbon to
match cardstock
|
|
|
Instructions:
1. Print and trace the heart box pattern out and transfer the markings onto the backside of your cardstock.
2. Score the dashed lines for better folding afterwards.
3. Cut around the outside lines and fold your box to a heart shape.
4. Glue the side flap closed. Secure with a paper clip until dry.
5. Use your slit hole paper puncher and punch in the middle top of each heart.
6. Insert your ribbon and tie in a bow closed.

Artist Trading Cards
Artist Trading Cards or otherwise known as ATC’s are created in the size of 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches or 64 x 89 millimeters (6.4 x 8.9 centimeters). These are small and self-made miniature works of art. Other than the size, there are no particular rules to follow. Combine different materials and elements to create unique and one of a kind cards. Sign, number and date the backs of your cards. These cards are not meant to be sold but if you like, there are groups that trade and collect these cards. You can find them on the internet in different craft forums.
