Valentine’s Day Card - “Two Green Hearts”

The heart is the universal symbol of love! Surprise your loved one with a hand created token of your feelings. Even though we have celebrations like Valentine’s Day or anniversaries, show that person how much you love him or her any day of the year. This card is created in shades of green but you are not limited to these colors.

Supplies Needed:

-
Blank card in dark green
- cardstock in dark green
- printed paper in a lighter green shade
- mulberry paper in dark green
- hole puncher with eyelet
- gold wire
- motif puncher with large heart
- 3-D pad
- decorative edged scissors
- glue

Valentine's Day Card - Green Hearts Valentine Card

Instructions:

1. Cut 1.5 cm away from the right edge of the blank green card using the decorative edged scissors.
2. Cut a 3 cm strip out of the printed paper also using the decorative edged scissors.
3. Glue the strip behind the cut edge of the card letting about 5 mm show of the green paper.
4. Cut a tag out of the green card stock and poke holes along the edge of the tag.
5. Tear a piece of the printed paper out to fit the center of the tag and glue it onto the tag.
6. Cut a heart out of the mulberry paper and glue it onto the green paper.
7. Punch a heart out using the motif puncher and apply 3-D pads on the backside of the heart. Remove the protective backings and stick the small heart along the bottom right side of the larger heart.
8. Cut a triangle out of the printed paper to fit the right half of the card diagonally. Glue this piece onto the card.
9. Punch a hole in the top center of the tag and insert the eyelet and secure it.
10. Create 2 wire coils using the gold wire and insert one end of each wire through the eyelet hole and secure to the back with a piece of sticky tape if necessary. You may have to also secure the other end underneath the tag. Do so by inserting the other end through one of the poked holes.
11. Glue the tag onto the card.
