Cards for Spring - Birthday Card - “Friendship Card with Flowers”

Maybe you have a special friend and feel like sending her/him special wishes... just so, or even for a birthday. Even though it is very easy to send electronic messages, it is still fun for someone to receive “real mail”. Why not surprise a friend by creating a handmade personal card and sending it off. Imagine how happy that person will be after going to the mail box and finding your personal greetings instead of just bills and junk mail.

Instructions:

1. Use the shape cutter and the edge of the oval template and cut a strip of wavy border. Poke holes along the border of the wavy side using a needle and piece of fun foam. Adhere this piece across the card and trim the ends when necessary.
2. Punch out 2 large flowers out of the light mauve colored cardstock. Poke holes along the edge (see detail picture). Use the shape cutter and circle template and cut a dark mauve circle for each flower and stick on. Place 3D foam tape pieces on the backsides of the flowers and lay aside for the moment.
3. Take a piece of wire and bead a few beads on it. Curl the wire between the beads. When the wire is how you would like it, connect the ends to the 2 large flowers and hide these ends underneath.
4. Adhere the flowers on the card as seen in picture.
5. Use the shape cutter and punch and tag template and cut out a medium sized tag. Use the Sizzix Sizzlet die cutter and die cut a small tag. Poke holes in the larger tag as you did with the border and flowers.
6. Use the small flower puncher and punch a flower out of the medium tag. Adhere this flower to the bottom right of the card.
7. Punch a small flower also in a piece of dark mauve cardstock. Glue this on the larger tag. Use the shape cutter and circle template and create a circle shape around the flower hole you just cut on the cardstock. Glue this circle onto the small tag.
8. Connect the two tags together using the brad. Place a piece of 3-D foam tape on the backside of the large tag and adhere them to the card.
9. Die cut the word “friends” out of the dark mauve cardstock and adhere it on your card.
10. Punch another small flower out of the dark mauve cardstock and adhere this to the top left corner of your card.
