Patriotic Flag Sun Catcher
A sun catcher looks colorful and brilliant in the window and kids can create this one to show their spirit for Independence Day. With just an acrylic disc and a few beads in patriotic colors, this project can be completed within an hour.

For this project you will need:
- acrylic disc 10 centimeters in diameter (about 4.5 inches) - a handful of red, white and blue flat acrylic beads - jewel glue that dries clear - perlon wire or white thread for hanging
Ages 8 and older

Instructions:
1. First glue beads to the entire circumference of the disc in alternating colors. 2. Then follow the example above and glue the beads to the center of the disc. It helps if kids place lined paper under the disc to help keep the lines and rows straight. The glue may appear milky at the beginning but should dry clear. 3. Attach the thread or wire to the hole for hanging.

Though this flag is the one for the USA, other country flags can be done in the same manner.
