When the autumn air starts getting cooler and moist, tons of mushrooms sprout out and cover the forest floor. With just a bit of fabric and batting, you can also create your own to decorate your home during the fall season.
For one mushroom you will need:
- fat quarter of light colored cotton material - fat quarter of brown material (the material here was flannel like and has a soft look and feeling to it) - batting - dried peas, lentils or small rocks (these will be used for the base of the mushroom to help it stand better and add some weight to it) - sewing thread matching material
Follow this Fabric Mushroom Tutorial to sew these. The template makes the larger mushroom which is about 15 centimeters high. Print out the template to any size you want to make mushrooms that are larger or smaller
