Christmas Crafts - Paper Crafts - Elegant and Easy Advent Calendars for Adults
These advent calendars are a lovely way to count down the days until Christmas. You can fill these with poetic verses for your loved one, a gift certificate, tickets for the cinema, CD’s, etc... The basic materials you will need are large white envelopes and metallic or elegant looking wrapping paper and you will require about 2-3 hours time to make these because of the drying time of the paint.

These envelopes are created using silver metallic paper and the numbers are made using a Fiskars number template and silver dimensional paint with glitter.

If you like gold instead, below is an alternative set of envelopes embellished with ornamental gold paper.

3. Die cut 24 scallop shapes and punch a hole at the top of each.
4. Use a pencil and trace the numbers 1-24 on the scallops. Afterwards, go over each number with dimensional paint. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle glitter over the paint. Set aside to dry.
5. Punch 2 holes at the top of each envelope. Cut 24 x 20 cm lengths of metallic ribbon. Insert each ribbon from the backside of the envelope through both holes so that the ends are on the front side. Tie the ends together in a knot.
6. Once the scallops are dry, pull the ends of the metallic ribbon through the hole in the scallop and knot off. Curl the ends off if you like.
