1. Print out the pattern so that the bunny measures about 17 cm in size. Glue the pattern onto a cereal box or similar and cut out. Now you have a stable template to use for the next steps.
2. Trace the pattern on the backsides (one side with the figure reversed) of two box sides as well as on the backsides (one side with the figure reversed) of two sheets of scrapbook paper. If the box sides have a corrugated grain, trace one bunny with a horizontal grain and the second bunny with a vertical grain. This will prevent the shape from bending.
3. Then glue the two cardboard bunnies together to create a thick and stable bunny.
4. Then glue the scrapbook paper onto the shape.
5. You now have a thick and sturdy bunny.
6. Now pierce holes along the shape of the bunny, about 5-7 mm from the edge and also at 7 mm intervals from each other.
7. Use a sewing stitch to sew the bunny. Here a blanket stitch was used. It looks decorative and also closes the side edges a bit.
Come up with your needle from the backside...
8. ... and pull the yarn until a small loop is remaining. Then insert the needle through the loop...
9. ... and pull it tight.
When the whole shape is stitched, a stick will be glued to the backside of the bunny and your project is finished and ready to use.
