For this project you will need:
- Pink card
- white, brown and dark pink cardstock
- pink beads
- brown, dark yellow and pink sewing thread
- pricking needle and pricking mat
- Sizzix Big Shot
- Sizzix Sizzlit “Phrase, Happy Birthday #3”
- Sizzix Texturz Texture Plate “Tween Vines”
- Sizzix Originals “Squares, Scallop #2”
- Bazill Basics - In Stitchz Templates -
Surprise Party
- pink satin ribbon, 4mm wide
- 3-D foam tape
- stick glue

Instructions:
1. Take your Bazill Basics Template and treat each section of the cupcake separately (the bottom, the icing, the candle and the flame). Start with the icing. Prick the holes except for the top holes that will be covered by the candle. Cut the icing out with a border and set aside. Now prick the holes of the cupcake bottom except those which will be covered by the icing. Cut this bottom out with a border. Now prick the holes of each the candle and the flame and also cut these out with a border. Stitch the cupcake bottom, the candle and the flame with the appropriate colors as seen in the picture. Now stitch the icing using beads to embellish it. Set each piece aside for the moment.
2. Die cut the square scallop. Then emboss the scallop using the Sizzix Texturz texture plate. Now adhere the cupcake bottom with stick glue to the square (see picture for placement). Use the foam tape and stick the icing now over the cupcake bottom. Now glue the candle onto the icing. Adhere the flame to the scallop so that it looks like it is just over the candle. Paste the scallop now onto the bottom of the card.
3. Die cut the phrase “Happy Birthday” and glue it to the card.
4. Add a ribbon to the left side of the card. Tape the ribbon ends to the inside of the card cover.
5. Tie a bow to the ribbon on the front of the card.
