* Parents can speed the glue drying time by using the hot glue gun to adhere the pieces together. Supervision is always recommended when using the hot glue gun around kids.
For this project you will need:
- Small clay pot - 35mm (1.4 inches) styrofoam ball - yellow and white acrylic paint - yellow feathers - matching button - craft wire - 2 wooden beads - matching cording - 2 wiggle eyes - piece of orange cardstock
Ages 7 and older

Instructions:
1. Paint the styrofoam ball yellow. Base coat the pot first with white and when dry, paint the pot yellow. 2. Glue the head to the body. 3. Glue a feather on each side of the pot. 4. Poke a hole in the head of the chick, place a drop of glue in the hole and insert a feather. 5. Insert a piece of wire through the button, add a bead on each end and curl the wire. Glue the button on the front side of the chick. 6. Cut a diamond shape out of orange cardstock and fold in half. Glue this on the face of the chick. 7. Glue on the wiggly eyes. 8. Tie a piece of cording around the neck into a knot.
