Spring Greeting Cards - Easter Cards - “Hatched Chicks Easter Card”

This is an adorable card for spring and Easter and was so fun to make. Once you have your supplies, it is made within 30 minutes. There is so much activity and depth on this card and uses a variety of materials which makes it interesting. The chicks were found as a design on a paper napkin, but perhaps you can find designer paper, wrapping paper, designer papers or even fabric with cute chick motifs.

Supplies Needed:

-
White blank card
- yellow fiber paper
- yellow fuzzy feathers
- white cardstoc
- white corrugated cardboard
- paper napkins
- designer paper
- fabric or wrapping paper with chicks
- 3-D pads
- thick white 1 sided self-sticking foil or
  fusible web
- 2-sided self sticking tape
- scissors
- stick glue

Easter Card - Cute Hatched Chicks Easter Card

Instructions:

Use the picture to help you putting your card together.

1. Design a ladder shaped form and cut it out of the white cardstock.
2. Cut a triangle that fits the height of your card out of the corrugated cardboard and glue it onto the card.
3. Tear a large piece of the fiber paper out and glue it diagonally onto the card also covering a part of the corrugated cardboard.
4. Cut out 3 small ovals that are slightly larger than the chick motifs and use the pinking shears to cut them in half to give them a broken shell look.
5. Glue the ladder shape on the card towards the right side.
6. Prepare the chick motifs as described below. There are 2 alternatives how to make them. Either use the
Aslan foil tutorial, or use the fusible web technique tutorial and follow the instructions. Cut 6-8 chicks exactly out once you have followed these instructions.
7. Place 3-D pads on the back sides of all of the egg halves and also on the backsides of all of the cut out chicks.
8. Arrange the egg halves and the chicks over the card and on the ladder.
9. Place 2 pieces of 2-sided self sticking tape on the right and left top of the card and stick one or 2 feathers to each side depending on the size of the feather.
