Paper Crafts for Summer and All Occasions - Gift Box for CD’s
Wait before you throw away those used calenders! Recycle them! Most likely they have wonderful colorful motifs and you can create many items using them! Good calenders have also thicker pages which makes them sturdier for crafting with. This is one example of what you could craft! You can create a small box to use to give CD’s as a gift or maybe you have a special CD you would like to store in a special way! Either way, the covering looks decorative and is so fast and easy to complete!

Instructions:
1. Find a motif in your calender that you are fond of and cut it out the following size: 16 cm x 14.5 cm. When completed, a normal CD Box or 2 Maxi-CD boxes will fit within this box. 2. Cut the white cardstock out just a tad smaller than the calender page. This will be the bottom of the box. Cutting it smaller will ensure that the bottom half of the box will fit within the top half! 3. Follow the instructions in the link below on how to make boxes. The instructions on the link page are written for making boxes out of cards but the procedure is the same. Follow these steps for the calender page and for the white cardstock. On this project, the side walls measure 1 cm on all sides. When folded, the box will measure 14 cm (l) x 12.5 cm (w) x 1 (h).
