Halloween Textile Crafts - Crafting with Felted Wool - Black Cat Doll

This easy to make Halloween black cat is simply too cuddly to scare anyone at Trick-or-Treat time. It is sewn together with felt to give it a soft and fuzzy feeling but any black or Halloween fabric can be used to make the cat as well.

|
Supplies Needed:
- black felt
- orange ribbon
- gold acrylic bead
- chalk pencil to transfer markings
- batting
- scissors or rotary cutter
|

Sewing Instructions:
Free Craft Pattern: Black Cat
1. Print the cat pattern out to fit your page. Create a permanent template by gluing the pattern onto cardboard and cutting out.
2. Add a 0.75 cm or 1/4 inch seam allowance to pattern and trace pattern twice (one reverse) onto the black felt and cut out.
3. With right sides facing, sew pattern together, leaving an opening on the back for turning.
4. Trim seam allowance if necessary and clip corners. Turn cat to the right side.
5. Fill the cat with batting until is the firmness you prefer.
6. Hand sew opening closed.
7. Sew on eye.
8. Tie a piece of orange ribbon into a bow around the cat’s neck.
