Christmas and Winter Crafts

Christmas Craft - Recycling Craft - Bottle Cap Christmas Decorations

Before you throw away used bottle caps, consider making these cute decorations out of them. It is also a great way to recycle. Use these to decorate your cards and scrapbooks. You can also create magnets for the refrigerator, create lapel pins for your jacket, package decorations, stocking stuffers, etc... Use different motifs for other seasons.

Christmas Bottle Cap Decorations or Magnets

For this project you will need:

- bottle caps
- Christmas paper, scrapbook sheets, cards, etc...
- white cardstock
- double sided sticky tape

Tip: If making magnets out of these, use self sticking magnets and adhere to the flat side of the bottle cap. If making lapel pins, use metal glue or a strong craft glue for metal to glue the pin piece to the flat side of the bottle cap.

Instructions:

1. Measure the inside of your bottle cap. The diameter of these measure 27 mm or (1.08 inches).
2. Cut white cardstock out with the same diameter and cut one extra as as a template. Find motifs that will fit within this template and trace the circle over the motif and cut out.
3. Adhere the motif to a cardstock circle using the double sided sticky tape.
4. Place another piece of double sided sticky tape to the backside of the circle and now adhere this within the bottle cap.
