Birthday Cards - Greeting Cards - ”Blue Rose”

When you make a lot of cards, there are often pieces of scrap paper or materials left over. Do not throw these away. Rather save them in a small box or basket. You will discover that the small pieces can be worthy for other cards when you need just a little something to complete the look.

Birthday Card - Greeting Card - Blue Embossed Rose Birthday Card

For this project you will need:

- dark blue blank card
- rest piece of white fiber paper
- rest piece of blue fiber material
- Fiskars Shape Boss with the flower garden template
- Fiskars embossing tool
- hole punch
- 3-D pads
- 2 brass fasteners
- stick glue
- vellum with birthday message
- scissors

Instructions:

1. Using the Fiskars Shape Boss, emboss the rose motif and cut it out leaving a 1/4” margin around the rose.
2. Tear a piece of the white fiber paper and glue it onto the blue blank card.
3. Cut a piece of the blue fiber material and put aside.
4. Cut the birthday message out. Lay the blue fiber piece on the card and the message over it. Using the hole punch, punch these pieces through the front of the card. Use the fasteners and secure the pieces on the card. Use the picture as reference.
5. Attach 3-D pads to the back of the rose and remove the protective backings. Stick the rose on the card as seen in the picture.
