Instructions:
If the napkin used for this project is not available in your area, select a similar napkin or any napkin of choice. This technique works for all sorts of motifs. The important thing is to have a motif that has a good background as well as smaller motifs that can be cut out to adhere as 3-D embellishments.
1. You will need two napkin quarters for this project. Remove all but the top layer of each napkin quarter. Cut two corrugated cardboard squares - one for each napkin and carefully “paint” each napkin quarter with paper napkin applique glue on a square. Try to catch the grooves and of course try to avoid tearing the napkin while painting it. Let the glue dry thoroughly before continuing. 2. After the glue has dried. Cut one of the corrugated cardboard squares to fit the card and adhere it to the front of the card. 3. With the second corrugated cardboard square, cut out individual motifs such as birds, birdhouses, sun, etc... Adhere these motifs with 3-D foam tape then over the corresponding motifs on the card. 4. If you like, stitch around the card front with your sewing machine.
