Beaded Autumn Felt Leaves

The fall is a gorgeous time of the year. The trees turn into brilliant shades or reds, oranges, yellows and browns. You can capture the look of the season by creating felt leaves to decorate your home. Once you have cut your leaves out, you can embellish them with beads to give them an extra touch of elegance.

For this project you will need:

- felted wool sheets 4mm thick in the colors of rust-orange and brown
- rust colored and brown colored beads
- brown thread
- scissors
- batting

Craft Patterns: Just trace the outside shape of the leaves. Maple Leaf Template Oak Leaf Template

Instructions:

1. Print out the templates to a size of your choice. Create permanent templates for these patterns to make tracing easier.
2. Trace the patterns on the appropriate colored felt and cut out.
3. Stitch the matching colored beads onto each of the leaves using a running stitch.
