Terry Cloth Pumpkins

Sewing these pumpkins does not require a lot of time and they look great decorating the bathroom... or any other room of choice during the fall season.

Terry Cloth Pumpkins 1

For one pumpkin you will need:

- orange hand towel (30 x 50 cm in size)
- olive green hand towel (30 x 50 cm in size)
- green or orange sewing thread
- green checked ribbon
- felt leaves for embellishing
- filling or batting to stuff the pumpkin
- sewing machine
- basic sewing supplies

Illustrated Craft Tutorial:

Christmas Towel Bag Tutorial 75

This pumpkin was basically sewn using the same technique as this Christmas Bag Tutorial. The only difference is that there is no application on the pumpkin.

1. Trim the thick seams off of all of the short sides of the towels. These are very stiff and making sewing more difficult.
2. Then follow steps 1 and 6-17 to make the pumpkin.
3. Afterwards, fill the pumpkin halfway with batting or other filling. Then instead of folding down the cuff, a ribbon will get tied around the top of the pumpkin and the green lining then adjusted so that it looks pleasing.
4. Finally, attach one or two felt leaves with thread to embellish.
