Inexpensive Paper Bag Tea Light Holders
This project takes a plain white paper bag a step further and combines it with a glass and paper napkins to create a cute table decoration for Christmas. Because these paper bags hardly cost anything to make, they are great for parties or get togethers when you need a lot but do not wish to give out too much money.

For this project you will need:
- white paper bags - taller tea light glass holders, jars or other glasses you may have around in the cupboard - paper napkin with motifs small enough to fit on the front of one of the paper bags - paper napkin glue or decoupage glue - flat and soft paint brush
|
|
Instructions:
1. Fold over the top rim of the bag so it is just slightly taller than the glass itself. 2. Then tear out a motif out of your paper napkin. (A torn edge looks more interesting than a perfectly straignt one) and discard all but the top layer of napkin. 3. Place the napkin over the bag area where you wish it to be and brush on an even coat of glue completely over the motif to seal it. 4. Let the glue dry a few minutes and place the glass then into the bag so that the bag with the motif forms nicely over the glass. Let the glue then completely dry before using.
Remember to never leave candles or tea lights burning when no one is present in the room. You can also use LED tea lights as an alternative to real tea lights.

Cute polar bear
In this country, the small white paper bags used for this project are called “Butterbrotbeutel” which translates to a bread and butter bag. The bags are normally used to wrap a sandwich for kids going to school for for someone going to work. They are sold in a pack of 100 for about 2 Euros and are excellent for this craft.
