Bad Segeberg is a town located in Schleswig-Holstein, the northernmost state of Germany. It attracts thousands of tourists yearly because of the Karl May open-air theater show about Winnetou the Indian. Karl May wrote many popular novels about Winnetou and the stories fascinate young and old alike. Next to the arena, there is a small “western town” to visit after the show to enhance the old western feeling. The landscape around Bad Segeberg is a beautiful yellow carpet of rape flowers in May. The town is situated on the Big Segeberg Lake offering a possibility to retreat to nature
